Hello there!  My name is Deborah and I am a yoga instructor (200+ hours through Strala Yoga, NYC) a wellness advocate and an aspiring nutritionist obtaining a Masters degree in nutrition and eventually plan to become a Registered Dietitian. This blog is a documentation of my educational experiences and promotions of nutrition, food, yoga, meditation, overall fitness and wellness.

I’m a New York native currently living in Brooklyn with my husband and “super-cat”, Nimbus.  I have a bachelor’s degree in music with a concentration in musical theatre.  Music and theatre are a huge part of my life.

Thanks for perusing my blog.  I try to write a few times per week so check back often or sign-up to follow my posts.  I hope you like it!

Go juice! 🙂 If you are interested in the juicer I use, that I highly recommend, its the Breville JE98XL Juice Fountain Plus. It’s very affordable and gets the job done well. If you can afford those $400 powerhouses then go for it, but this one works perfectly fine.

It can juice anything except for hard husks like kiwi skin, pear stems, and orange peel.  You’ll be happy with the purchase.  I know I am.

  1. I am a yoga fan myself. I did Bikram Yoga for a few months and now practice a little bit of yoga every morning on my own. Thanks for visiting veggiezest, I am so glad that you liked it!

  4. Hi Deborah! Just stumbled across your twitter and found that you just got accepted to Columbia on the road to becoming a RD! Congrats!! I’m a foodie + yogi/yoga teacher + RD2b as well, so I’m very happy to come across a fellow like-minded feather in the pack 🙂 I look forward to connect with you more!

    • Hi Josie! We are completely on the same path! That’s awesome! Where are you in your studies? I am still finishing my prereqs before starting Columbia in the fall. Email me and we can chat more!
