Dreamy Creamy Greeny Smoothie

Happy Monday everyone!

Also posted today on the Strala Blog, a delicious, nutritious, creamy treat for you all.  It’s great for any time of day and would be fantastic as a refreshing afternoon pick-me-up on one of these hot days.

  • 1/2 avocado
  • A large handful of spinach (use however much you like)
  • 2 cups coconut milk
  • 1/2 bag of frozen peaches (or 1/4 bag of peaches and 1 frozen apple, sliced)

With the avocado, spinach and coconut milk in the blender, blend for about 15 seconds. Add the frozen peaches and blend for another 15 seconds until everything is smooth and creamy. It should make two servings. Voila!

Avocado is high in monounsaturated fatty acids, vitamins E and B, fiber and lutein which is good for eyesight. It’s a fruit that facilitates the functionality of the large intestine, liver, lungs and spleen.

Spinach is one of the best vegetables to eat. It’s high in iron, calcium, vitamins K and C, and folic acid which plays big role in the body’s cell renewal. It supports the large intestine, stomach and liver.

Coconut milk is great for beating the summer heat because it hydrates and cools the body. It is also a good source of iron, phosphorus and zinc which is also good for cell growth and helps the body use carbohydrates, proteins and fats.

Peaches are high in vitamins A and C. They are good for skin health, stimulate digestion, cleanse the bladder and help build body fluids.

Enjoy! 🙂

    • Let me know if you try it. If you don’t like avocado, you may not like it but the coconut gives it a nice summery, refreshing flavor. Can’t wait to read your smoothie post tomorrow!
