Time for a healthy breakfast!

Good Afternoon!  So, I’m a little late with this post… (I had to come to work early and lost a good hour of prime blogging time this morning).

Anyway, as the most important meal of the day, breakfast should be healthy, and nutrient-rich.  It starts the day right, provides fuel to keep going (so you don’t feel like it’s nap time at noon) and also helps you to continue making healthy choices throughout the day when it comes to other meals.

So, without further ado, my breakfast this morning contained Cascadian Farm organic multi grain squares with two sliced apricots and a cup of Yogi brand organic tea (Chai Green) in my favorite mug.   

I love Cascadian Farm because they really care about the way they farm and take care of the earth as they work.  Their products are natural without any additives and are a decent source of vitamins and minerals.  Apricots (which are a good source of Vitamin A and Potassium) are my favorite fruit and I will eat as many apricots as I can get my hands on during the summer.  And finally, it’s always a comfort to drink out of a favorite mug and enjoy the simple things in life.  It’s the simplest things that are the most important.  

Try adding fresh fruit to your breakfast.  The natural sweetness in the fruit will take the place of artificially sweetened cereals and it’s much better for you!
